Christel Doctor Who of the Week - The Editor

Although the editor has only just featured in episodes 2 and 3 of ARNIE I originally had much bigger plans for him. Back in the early days of brainstorming and planning for series 1 of Christel Doctor Who he was intended to be the big 'baddy' at the end of the series. He would have written the Doctor out of existence and the companion would have to save him. I eventually canned the idea due to the editor being a new character, my thoughts were that I needed something or somebody else with a bit more clout, and somebody who didn't need too much of a back story establishing; hence Rassilon.

ARNIE Episode 3 Coming Monday (Sorry)...

Due to internet speeds and other commitments although episode 3 of ARNIE is now finished it will not be uploaded until Monday (February 7th). I do apologise for the delay but the bonus is that I have been able to use the downtime to tweak the episode a little and place in some easter eggs referencing events from across the Christel Doctor Who universe. Hopefully it will be worth the wait. Thank you for your paitence.

Coming (Very) Soon...

Firstly I must apologize for the lack of activity on the blog over the last few days. I have been busy writing and filming and editing. However, I must say that Christel Doctor Who series 2 is now coming along nicely and the first half is, wait for it....Nearly finished...YAY!!! This means that in the next week or two (Work commitments dependant) I shall be putting together the traditional Christel Films Series release trailer, so be sure to look out for that, because then the countdown really will be on!

In other news I am also hoping to have episode 3 of ARNIE finished and up for the weekend. An Uncertain Future is the second part of the story that began in episode 2, times of change, and will again feature, the much liked nemesis , the editor.

So until the weekend, I thank you again for you patience and continued support.

Christel Doctor Who of the Week - The TARDIS

The TARDIS was originally intended to look like the one from the original series but after finding the current version had much more animation possibilities I decided to go for that one instead. If you want to see what it would have looked like then please refer to Azmael's quarters from the finale of series 1.

DanHarma reviews the Christmas Special

DanHarma, guest writer for series 2 and long time supporter of this blog has written a truly wonderful review of the Christel Doctor Who Christmas Special, How the Doctor Stole Christmas. I implore you to head over to his blog here and read the review. Thanks again to Dan for the wonderful review.

Series 2 Episode Synopsis

In an attempt to make up for my recent lack of activity on this blog I am posting today with brief episode synopsis' of the first 6 episodes of series 2 of Christel Doctor Who. This was something that the BBC did with Doctor Who before Matt Smith's first season and was something I swore I would do to. So, here goes.

S201 - Hearts of Stone
A message from the past leads to an alarming sequence of events in the future. Yet as the tragedy of Ralph Tunney's life begins unfolding, it is soon clear that something is stirring in the museum, and the fraternity are watching.

S202 - Plight of the Wolflar
The wolflar are lost...terrified and desperate and that makes them more dangerous than anything...and as the Doctor is about to find out...they will do anything to anyone to get home.

S203 - Death on the Line
In the 1940's Sheila Renton lost her son to a gruesome train accident...yet as the Doctor and Tabitha know the story could of been very different. In a race against time the Doctor and Tabitha face the most difficult question of all...who survives?

S204 AND S205 - The Horus Heresy and Eye of the Beholder
As the Doctor resumes his guardianship of the Harmonica they are faced with a most terrible realisation...Their greatest legend is being retold, and somebody or something, is changing the story.

S206 - Memoirs of a Timelord

Its decision time for the Doctor; When a memory from a time long forgotten resurfaces he must face an awful and terrifying truth. Seeing an old friend one more time could mean asking his companion an impossible favor.

These are the basic synopsis, and closer to the time of release of each episode I will post more in depth, but for now they give an idea of how the first part of the series will pan out.

Series 2 plot arc...

As with series 1 of Christel Doctor Who there will be a main plot arc woven into pretty much all of the episodes with the intention of building the story up to the finale (which runs to 3 parts for series 2 remember!).

Whilst I cannot tell you much about it at the moment I can tell you that it was mentioned, twice, in the Christmas special, so it might be worth a rewatch to see if you can find it. Having written the final scenes of the finale I can tell you already that it is hopefully going to throw one hell of a curveball...you have been warned...

(Just to clarify, Rassilon is NOT returning in Series 2, this was the only picture that I could think of to link to a 'story arc' post)
