Series 2 Episode 2, Death on the Line

It is with great pleasure that I present episode 2 of Christel Doctor Who Series 2. Entitled, Death on the Line it is the first episode to be written by a guest writer and once you have watched the episode I think you will agree that Blink has done a fantastic job. Sit back, enjoy and comment if you wish. I love to know what people think of the episodes so don't be shy...spread the word.

Death on the Line Part 1...

Death on the Line Part 2...

p.s. I was going to wait until 7'o' clock tonight to release this but I thought I would release early as last weeks episode was a tad late.

Introducing...Eric Renton

Tonight Episode 2, Death on the Line, will be airedand will feature a character called Eric Renton. In the original script treatment for the episode Blink said that Eric is a child and so after a very long and complicated search I managed to find a child actor prop to use in the episode. This makes Eric Renton the first child actor to appear in Christel Doctor Who...

Christel Doctor Who of the Week - Series 3

Christel Doctor Who series 3 will again feature the creative talents of Burkey and Blink. This is great news as their stories for series 2 are amazing! Blink has already submitted early drafts of his series story, which I can reveal will be the Christmas Special and therefore episode 7 of Series 3.

Death on the Line Plot Snippets

With series 2 episode 2 [Death on the Line] airing tomorrow I am today posting the five plot snippets for the first Christel Doctor Who episode to be written by a guest writer, the fantastic Blink. Enjoy...

1. Parts of this story are actually quite gruesome and probably wouldnt be done on the television...thats why I love doing it on Christel Doctor Who though.

2. Familiar enemies, but with not such familiar faces.

3. The Doctor and Tabitha share a very tricky conversation the alternate possibilities of their actions...thats why I loved Blink's idea.

4. Look out for Arthurs nasty side, which Blink has written really well. Also look out for who he is sending a telegram to and the project that he is working on.

5. Blink really went all out with the story and this made it extremely difficult to animate, especially the train...which after all my best efforts, swearing at my computer and starting again at least three times...is unfortunately blue.

Death on the Line Synopsis

With just two days to go until episode 2 of Christel Doctor Who Series 2 I am today posting the synopsis for the episode. This will be a landmark episode because it will be the first aired episode that has been written by a guest writer. That person being long time supporter of this blog, Blink. So here goes, Episode 2 airs on Saturday, Hopefully at about 7 'o' clock.

Episode 202 - Death on the Line.

A routine trip to the past turns into possibly the biggest dilemma yet for the Doctor and Tabitha Mortimer. With the gruesome death of a controversial figure and deadly monsters descending from the skies the Doctor faces a race against time itself to save history as we know it. What role do the Rentons have to play? Why is Arthur Renton so instant on catching that train, and who must make the ultimate sacrifice to save history?

Series 2 is Here!

After finally managing to draw a line under my internet problems I am very proud to present series 2 of Christel Doctor Who. I can only apologise that it is nearly a week late, my ISP have felt my wrath muwhaha. Presented below is series 2 episode 1, Hearts of Stone. I really hope you enjoy the episode....

Part 1...

Part 2...

I like to think of series 2 as the "Empire Strikes Back" in what will prove a trilogy of series for the story arc that I have planned. So sit back, enjoy and be ready for the BIG revelations...

Christel Doctor Who of the Week - The Horusy Heresy

So Series 2 is off and running...I hope you enjoyed Hearts of Stone and you are looking forward to episode 2, written by the genius that is Blink...

Episode 3, The Horus Heresy, I actually titled after a Warhammer 40k backstory. I liked the sound of the title and I think it works quite well with my story.

Internet troubles have struck christel films once more!

Yesterday Saturday April 23rd came and went and unfortunately there was no episode of christel doctor who. I got back off of holiday on Friday to find that my BT home hub wasn't working. I have rushed home to my brothers to keep you up to date and I am sorry to say that BT are not coming to fix the problem until Wednesday so it is unlikely that the episode will be up until at least then. I am truly sorry about this, everything was ready to go and the episode sits on my desktop waiting to be uploaded. I will endeavour to get it on here as soon as possible.

2 Days to go...

With just 2 days to go until the launch of Christel Doctor Who series 2 I am posting today to confirm the "air" time for episode 1, Hearts of stone. I am hoping to have the episode uploaded and ready for your viewing pleasure by about seven o clock on Saturday. That will give time for the official doctor who episode to pass and then for everybody to settle down and watch christel doctor who. At least that is my hope anyway.

3 Days to go...

Today's blog post is back to tradition. With episode 1 now nearly upon us here are the 5 plot snippets that usually follow each episode. Enjoy and speculate in equal measure...

1. We shall Ralph Tunney both old and young, but not necessarily in the right order.

2. The Doctor goes on his famous museum rant again.

3. "So exactly 53 years from here takes us to...."

4. Whatever you do Ralph, promise me you will keep a camera trained on that statue at all times...Thats why I love the weeping angels.

5. Oh that pesky Trojan...

Christel Doctor Who of the Week - TARDIS's

I can exclusively reveal that there will be more than one TARDIS in an episode of Christel Doctor Who series 2. I leave you to speculate which of course, but I am pretty sure you will all be VERY suprised by the outcome.

4 Days to go...

Official synopsis time. I have posted this before but it is a much updated version. Enjoy...

S201 - Hearts of Stone
A message from the past leads to an alarming sequence of events in the future. Yet as the tragedy of Ralph Tunney's life begins unfolding, it is soon clear that the deadliest of assassins are once again stirring in the museum, and the fraternity are watching.

5 Days to go...

Okay, with just five days left to go until episode 1 (Hearts of Stone airs) I thought I would repost the opening sequence. This was originally shown a while back now but I have repost it here to remind you of how the Doctor and Tabitha explode back onto your screens, enjoy...

6 Days to go...

Episode 1 of Series 2 is called Hearts of Stone and as you know features the Weeping Angels. I will admit that I did struggle animating them in the movies and because of this I decided to take the episode in a slightly different direction storywise. But it has worked really well. "The Fraternity are watching" really does have a new meaning now (Confused? Don't worry there's not long now).

Introducing...Tomnoos

In this latest 'introducing' post we meet a character called Tomnoos. He will feature (heavily) in episode 10, The lying old Witch in the Wardrobe and has very strange abilities. Although he doesnt look like him, his name is supposed to sound like that of Mr Tumnus...

7 Days to go...

With pretty much only a week to go until the launch of Christel Doctor Who Series 2 I have finished completely episodes 1,2 and 3. Episode 4 is still being cut together and episodes 5 and 6 simply need the subtitles putting into them.

As for the second half of the series; I already have the three episodes of the finale written, and I have begun filming little bits of episodes 7 and 9. I have half of the "Beatles" script written also, which is episode 8. The only episode I haven't actually started writing yet is episode 10. Overall then, things are in pretty good shape.

8 Days to go...

I am also a casual fan of Warhammer 40k and occasionally I read some of the expanded universe literature. This is actually where I got the idea for episodes 3 and 4. They were originally meant to be warhammer crossover episodes but it would have taken far too long to do and wouldn't really have proved that much of a story. The basics of the story have survived however, I just decided to use the Harmonica instead of the Imperium of Man.

Introducing...Charak

As filming is now underway on the second half of series 2 I thought it was time to introduce you to one of the characters that you will be seeing. Charak will appear in episode 9, City of the Damned. He is the resistance leader and will play quite a big part in the story. Here is his picture to start with...more information will follow closer to the release of the episode.

(I'm going to try and make the introducing posts a regular feature...Hopefully)

9 Days to go...

In just 9 days time series 2 of Christel Doctor Who will be upon us. When I originally scheduled series 2 it would have started much earlier in the year. I wanted to start on New Years day and run through to the middle of the year, then follow this up with series 3 in the latter half of this year. I decided against it after seeing how much work this would be.

10 Days to go...

Although Series 2 of Christel Doctor Who is still 10 days away scripting has begun on two series 3 stories. Blink is writing an episode for series 3, and has already presented me with an early draft of the opening sequence, plus I have already begun writing the opening story of series 3. When you have see the end of series 2 you will understand why I needed to start writing it so early...

Christel Doctor Who of the Week - The Guardians of Time

Although the white guardian of time told the Doctor at the end of Series 1 that they would meet twice more he did not imply how or when. The Doctor also made mention of the other guardians, and seemed surprised by the fact that the white guardian was working alone. The guardian also implied that the Doctor was being tested, and that the 'Choice of ages' was the first part of this test. It is still unknown as to when the next part of the test will be, as well as how or why the guardians are testing the doctor.

11 days to go...

With 11 days to go until the release of Christel Doctor Who Series 2 today's post is actually themed around somebody else's Doctor Who Series. I am writing for Burkey's animated series, due to kick off on June 11th 2011 and although the script is in the early stages I can tell you it will involve some very deep challeneges and questions for the Doctor to answer. It will also be a very personal story for all of the characters involved.

12 Days to go...

With just 12 days to go until the official release of Christel Doctor Who Series 2 I am going to start a new set of posts that counts down to release day. Each post will be a little different and reveal some new information about the series. I hope you enjoy them, remember series 2 is now only 12 days away...

Christel Doctor Who of the Week - Fletcher Reed

Fletcher Reed appeared in episode 4 of ARNIE series 1 and claimed to have an extensive knowledge of the robot. He also implied that he was to become ARNIE's companion at sometime in the robots personal future, also implying that this had already happened from Reed's point of view.

This will not be the last time you see Fletcher Reed. I do have lots planned for him.

Series 2 episode 9 begins filming

Having 'wrapped' filming on the first half of Christel Doctor Who series 2 in early January I am now moving attention to the second half of the series and filming has begun today on episode 9, city of the Damned. I have filmed the pre-title sequence and cut it together and so far I am happy with the way that the Doctor and Tabitha's return to new earth has turned out...

ARNIE Series 2 News...

After posting the finale to series 1 of ARNIE yesterday I promised a post with some big news on the series...and today I shall duly deliver. Okay, firstly ARNIE is back in the Autumn with another series that will run to 5 episodes again, they will stay the same length at around 8 minutes, so whats new I hear you ask? Well...only the fact that ARNIE will be voiced!

That's right I have signed up to the voice acting alliance forums, the very same that Burkey used to cast parts for his Doctor Who Series and over the course of the summer I shall begin to search for the voices of Sargeant Roger Parris and ARNIE himself. Now you may question the logic behind moving the spin-off to voice acting instead of doing it with Christel Doctor Who, but the real reason I am doing so is that I can work out any bugs or problems first, and decide whether I think it is right or not.

Secondly, as you probably guessed from the finale to series 1, Series 2 of the show will take place in the future timezone on New Earth, that;s right, the very same New Earth from the Christel Doctor Who Series 1 episode, Sins of the Father. I can also confirm a return for the somewhat elusive Fletcher Reed and a very familiar monster will return also.

So there you have it. From Autumn this year ARNIE will be a voiced series and there is the possibility that this could then carry through into Christel Doctor Who in future. There's news for you :)

P.S. I haven't posted anything about this on the VAA yet so please don't go looking for it...well not yet at least.

ARNIE Episode 5...Back from the Future

I am pleased to present the series finale to ARNIE series 1. Episode 5, entitled "Back from the Future" brings series 1 to a close with what with hopefully prove to be quite a bang. The episode is designed to answer some questions but then ask a lot more, so I hope you enjoy it. Oh, and keep watching until the VERY END for a very special treat. I shall posting later with more big ARNIE news but for now, enjoy...
