Children in Need Night News!

To coincide with the preview of the Real Doctor Who Xmas special being shown on Children in Need I am also going to be releasing some new info on the night of November 20th, one night before the release of Day of the Daleks.

On said night I shall release schedule information for series one of Christel Doctor Who (Starting 2010) as well as the names of the first 'block' of episodes that I am now writing.

If that isn't enough for you then don't panic. The very next day the third Christel Doctor Who special Day of the Daleks will be released and then on the 22nd of November I will announce the release date of the final special (Endgame) and give a special sneak peek into the grand finale before series 1 kicks off in 2010.

Thank you all again so much for the support that has come my way over the last few months and to have reached 1000 hits was truly amazing. PLease continue to spread the word and keep visiting.

Somebody pay the Piper...

So nobody worked it out then?! Okay perhaps you did, perhaps you didn't but after being asked who this character was meant to be I couldn't resist letting the cat out of the bag any longer.

Have a good look, the blonde hair, the sad expression...thats right she's back, and this time its personal in more ways then one. I can exclusively reveal that the final two special Christel Doctor Who specials entitled 'Day of the Daleks' and 'Endgame' will see a starring role from none other than Rose Marion Tyler. Love her or hate her it just had to be done in my opinion.
(Is the resemblence a good one or not?)

Plus I do have one hell of a story line planned for her...More soon.

Series 1 Mini-Site Update

With the last two specials coming along nicely I have had a little play with some promotional stuff for series 1. The mini-site for series 1 now has this new banner and I am toying with the idea of running a competition to design the logo for the series. More to follow on Day of the Daleks and Endgame soon.

(P.S. This post means that The planet of Souls is now only visible by going through the blog history or by clicking on the episode page itself. If you haven't seen it yet please feel free to have a look and comment.)

Progress Report

My apologies that there has been a bit of a low recently in any Christel Doctor Who news but I have been busy beavering away at cutting and editing the final two specials. I have day of the daleks at a point where it is about 75-80% complete and should be ready mid November time.

Endgame, the final of the four specials still runs to well over 25 minutes and I want to try and get it down to at least 20 minutes to avoid people loosing track of the story. However with any luck it should be out in December.

As for Series 1 which will be released next year I have now finalised the arc for the 13 episodes and I am at the early stages of writing the first 5 stories. I'm planning to release the episodes every week before having a mid-series two or three week break and then finishing the rest of the series.

For Now thanks to everyone for their continued support, by the looks of the hit counter on the site I might hit 1000 views soon and that would be fantastic.

So What do we know?

With Grand Designs and The Planet of Souls now well and truly 'out there' I thought it might be apt to catch up on some of the questions that these two episodes have posted and to try and see what we know already before launching into the finale two parter...

What do we know...

- Well we know the daleks are back, the interesting will be for those of you who watched closely enough is that they are all different colours and appear to be from different times, which could prove interesting.

- We know also that something big is going down because Ida Scott (After she had become the oracle) predicted it.

- We know also that for whatever reason that Timothy Jackson is back, and I can tell you that this time he has a much bigger if not HUGE role.

What are we still asking?

- We still don't know who this guy is or why he keeps popping up...

- We don't know who the woman at the end of the Day of the Dalek trailer was or why the guy in the green suit was chasing her...

Last but by no means least, what was that phone call all about...

Although Im sure its not every question that people have asked I have tried to think of most things to stimulate conversation. Thanks for the continued support.

The New Doctor Who Logo

Although this post is not about my series of Doctor Who is about the fact that today the BBC released the new Doctor Who Logo for 2010 and series 5 (or 1, or series 1.2 or whatever they are calling it) and I thought it might be worth a look. What do we think? Personally I like it, harks back to the old days a bit more. Feel free to comment and discuss.
