As if having the Beatles in episode 9 of Christel Doctor Who Series 2 simply wasn't enough I can now reveal that CS Lewis will be appearing in episode 10, The Lying Old Witch in the Wardrobe. I have tried to roughly model the character on a picture I found of the young CS Lewis. Production is now underway in earnest on this story...I really can't wait for you to see it....

Christel Doctor Who Wins an Award
I am very pleased/honored/grateful to announce that Christel Doctor Who has won an award. Thats right! The lovely people over at Doctor Who Times have deemed Christel Doctor Who to be worthy of their "Best Animated Series" award. I am very thrilled that people think the series is good enough to warrant a reward and here is the presentation to prove it. Thank you once again.
Be sure to check back on Friday for the CDW Series 2 second half trailer.

Centerpoint Begins Recruiting
I can happily announce today that Series 2 of Christel Doctor Who will see the recruitment of the first character to the Centerpoint Foundation. For those of you that don't know, Centerpoint is my newest animated project using the movies and I plan to recruit characters from across "Christel-canon" to populate the show. This is a move inspired heavily by the way that Marvel Films are setting up the Avengers and hopefully it should help to build anticipation for when Centerpoint debuts next year.
Of course I'm not going to tell you who that character is or when you will see them being recruited, you'll have to watch for that yourselves. Hopefully it will inspire a lot of conversation.

Christel Doctor Who of the Week - How the Doctor Stole Christmas
Many thanks go to Blink for providing this. He has designed a DVD cover for the Christmas special "How the Doctor Stole Christmas". Blink did DVD covers for the first series of Christel Doctor Who and I am hoping to produce something similiar for series 2, in the meantime feast your eyes on Blinks latest amazing creation....
Series 2 DVD Cover
I recently Emma from ADW Designs (here) to create a mock up of what a series 2 volume 1 DVD cover would look like and I am very pleased to present the result of her hard work. I hope you like the cover as well. Again, many thanks to Emma for her hard work. Be sure to check out her blog including more of her fantastic work.

ARNIE Series 2 Enters Writing Stage
Today, I have officially started writing series 2 of ARNIE, my Christel Doctor Who Spinoff. As you may remember ARNIE series 2 is going to be my first foray into voiced animation work and I hope to get the writing for the 5 episode second series completed soon so that I can move to the casting phase.
I can confirm that both ARNIE and Roger Parris will return for Series 2 as well as a special guest appearance from the Doctor himself there is also a very explosive story to end the series on. As usual with ARNIE, I am not tying myself down to a time period. However, having said that I am aiming to get it completed before series 3 of Christel Doctor Who starts.

Youtube Organising (CDW Series 1 news)
Now that I upload primarily through youtube I have been organising the Christel Videos in certain playlists.
The entirety of ARNIE series 1 can be found here.
Christel Doctor Who Series 2 can be found here.
I am still adding to the playlists so be sure to check back regularly. The idea is that the videos are all in one place to watch altogether should you wish. Of course, they are still available on the side bar in their original posts as well.
Plus, as I now have unlimited Broadband usage at home I am toying with the idea of "re-uploading" series 1 of Christel Doctor Who to youtube. I originally put it on veoh but the quality was rubbish and they have now changed their player, meaning some of the episodes aren't available anymore. This will probably get done in the summer but I will endevaor to get it all back up again before series 3 of Christel Doctor Who starts this Winter.

Series 2 Air Dates...
Filming for the second half of Christel Doctor Who series 2 is now well underway and I am nearly wrapped on episode 12, Vault 101. That means I will have 4 of the 7 episodes for the second half of series 2 in the bag already. It also means that the series should be able to return in approximately 2-3 weeks time.
Whilst on that subject, I have decided to show the three part finale to Christel Doctor Who Series 2 on 3 consecutive days over the course of a weekend. So episode 11 on the Friday, 12 on the Saturday and 13 on the Sunday. I have taken this decision for the reason that it will keep up the momentum of the series and should keep the revelations (of which there are many) coming at a good rate. The second reason for this decision is series 3 of Christel Doctor Who. I figured that by showing the series 2 finale in this way it would free three whole weekends up and mean that the series finished earlier, allowing me more time to get series 3 filmed and edited.
To conclude then, this means that the second half of series 2 will just take 5 weeks to complete with episodes 11,12 and 13 being shown on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the 5th week.

Christel Doctor Who of the Week - The Two Doctors Again?!
At the end of Memoirs of a Timelord we see David Tennant's 10th Doctor and Matt Smith's 11th Doctor making another brief appearance and talking to Hectus about the dream sequence that the Christel Doctor and Tabitha have just witnessed. This is now their third appearance in Christel Canon but it does give a little a more away about their plan and what role they ultimately have to play. If we consider this previous Christel Doctor Who of the Week post then we learn about the Two Doctors appearance at the end of ARNIE series 1 and how they "Cannot keep Hectus waiting".
Having now caught up with the story in Christel Doctor Who Series 2 the 11th Doctor talks of needing to setup a diversion...which obviously again pre-cursors something else that they intend to do...
It does also suggest however that they setup this event for the Christel Doctor to take part in and that Hectus knew all about it. Why they did this, and why he didn't say anything is, as of yet, unknown...

2012...
So it is looking increasingly likely that there will not be a full series of Doctor Who in 2012. Combom's blog has full coverage of the breaking story here, but there is no need to worry too much. You will get more than your share of Christel Doctor Who goodness in 2012. Not only will you get the second half of Christel Doctor Who Series 3 but Series 1 of my new animated Project "Centerpoint" and possibly series 3 of ARNIE (Although I can't confirm that yet).
ARNIE Series 2, Episode 3
As part of my promise to reveal three of the 5 episode names for series 2 of ARNIE I am happy to be able to announce the third of those episode titles today. Episode 3, will not only be the only stand alone story in the series, but will be entitled...
Which means, yes you guessed it...the episode will feature the Man himself...The Doctor. I know originally I said I didn't want this to happen but I have got a killer story planned. I should answer the question about ARNIE and Parris appearing in series 1 of Christel Doctor Who.

Series 2 Progressing nicely...
Filming wrapped on Episode 11 today which means that I now have episodes 8,9 and 11 in the bag already. I am hoping to have episodes 12 and 13 finished within the next week and a half and then that leaves only 9 and 10 before series 2 can return. On that note, I am looking provisionally at another 3-4 weeks yet before the series returns, but I will keep you updated on times as they change constantly anyway.
Just in case you have been living under a rock you have to go and See the First episode of Burkey's Doctor Who here. It is truly brilliant and really shows the advantage that voice acting can bring to an animated series. Go and watch it now, you will love it!

Series 3 is Go!!!
So Series 2 is half completed and my thoughts are now beginning to turn towards series 3, which today I have officially given the 'Green Light' If I'm honest it is the series that I have always been the most excited about. This is because it will be VERY different to both series 1 and 2 of Christel Doctor Who.
Firstly, and as already announced, episode 7 will be the Christmas Special, and actually be a story in the series, which means there will be 6 episodes before Christmas and 6 after. It is the 6 episodes after Christmas that I am the most excited about. This is because they will form one gigantic, and dare I say it 'epic' story. There will be a 6 part story to finish off series 3. I should warn you I have had this planned from the very start of Christel Doctor Who and I intend to use it to round off 95% of the storylines and arcs that I currently have running. Everything literally is building up to this 6 part story...which by the way I already have written.
That means that there is a lot to watch out for and hopefully a lot to get excited about. It does NOT mean Christel Doctor Who is coming to an end though, infact as I write this I have in front of me, on my iPad, a rough story arc for series 4 and 5. Hopefully this means there is still a lot to look forward to from Christel Doctor Who, I really can't wait to show you series 3 though!

Christel Doctor Who of the Week - Lipstick
Rather by coincidence it has come about that one of the more minor plot devices for this series of Christel Doctor Who will indeed be lipstick. That's all I'm saying, but keep watching out for it...it will actually explain quite a lot.

The Finale Starts Here!!!
I am very excited tonight to be able to announce that I have started filming the Christel Doctor Who Series 2 finale. Episode 11, which remember is part 1 of the 3 part finale began filming earlier this evening and work centered on the pre-title sequence. I can officially confirm that it featured the return of Ida Scott as the Oracle, last seen in the Christel Doctor Who Special "The Planet of Souls" in 2009. I am very excited about the finale and I can't wait to show it to you the adoring fans. I can promise it will throw a HUGE curveball into Christel Doctor Who Cannon.
Its all go...
Even though Christel Doctor Who Series 2 is currently on its mid series break work here at "Christel Towers" is still relentless. Here is a brief overview of some of the projects that I am working on at the moment...
- Christel Doctor Who Series 2 (Plannin and writing series 3)
- ARNIE Series 2 writing
- Burkeys Doctor Who Writing
- Christel Films Centerpoint planning
- Torchwood renaissance planning (and soon to be writing)
And I am sure there are things I have forgotten. So lots to do for me...I love it really.

Introducing...Romana
For obvious reasons, I could not do this post prior to Memoirs of a Timelord. But now that the preverbial cat is out of the bag here is Romana, as envisioned by the Christel Doctor Who Universe...

ARNIE Series 2, Episode 1 Title Revealed...
As part of my promise to reveal three of the 5 episode names for series 2 of ARNIE I am happy to be able to announce the second of those episode titles today. Episode 1, the first one of the series, will be entitled...
Which means, yes you guessed it...the episode will feature the Next of Kin. I intend for it to be quite a barnstorming story and involve a huge twist towards the end, which will actually answer one of the big questions of Christel Cannon.

Christel Doctor Who of the Week - MARK 2?
In the ARNIE series 1 finale we meet the 'Mark 2" which is supposed to be a robot vastly superior to ARNIE. We also see a similiar robot in the 4th 2009 Christel Doctor Who Special, Endgame. Although it is unclear whether this robot is the Mark 2 or not it seems to be able to manipulate peoples visual cortex in the same way that ARNIE can. A fact proven by the fact that it convinced both the 10th and 11th Doctors that it was Rose Tyler. As of yet it remains unclear as to the true identity of this robot.

Centerpoint is Here!!!
Today I am very excited to be able to present my newest animated project. Named simply 'Centerpoint' it is another series based in Christel Doctor Who universe. Centerpoint is not just another spin off though, it will be a fully fledged, voiced action series that will premiere on Christel Films at some point during 2012. I have been developing the idea for some time now and it is intended to stand on its own feet. Eventually the series will have its own website (blog) and the intention is for it to become as popular, if not more so, than Christel Doctor Who.
"So Whats it all about?" I hear you ask, well Centerpoint will focus on the work of the 'Centerpoint Foundation' a group of 7 specialists who travel through time solving problems. Oh yes, thats right, they can travel through time! But I wanted to avoid creating just a Doctor Who Clone so there is a very special twist...which of course you will have to wait and see until the series debuts next year.
At this moment in time I intend for each series ( I've got at least 4 planned at the time of writing this) to run to 8 episodes of approximately 20 minutes each, although they will probably run to 15 minutes just like Christel Doctor Who does. The series should debut next year and I am planning for a release towards Christmas 2012. Now I know that seems a long way away but I have a plan to keep everybody guessing about the mysterious Centerpoint Foundation and "New Team" that it will be recruiting. To give you some idea of what I plan I will tell you that I have taken a lot of inspiration from the way that Marvel is setting up the Avengers, now that doesnt mean Samuel L Jackson will be popping up but I have plans to hopefully whip up a lot of interest in this series.
Below are a few of the first preview shots of the logo...
Hopefully these shots will give some idea of the direction I want to take with this new series. I want it to be uber-professional! That also means I am taking a leaf out of Burkeys book. I shall be looking for people to create musical scores, write episodes and edit scripts for me. Anyways, I have rambled too much. I hope you are looking forward to this new series...more news coming soon.

Series 2 Back in Production
The post title says it all really...today I have put series 2 of Christel Doctor Who back into production. Work focussed mainly on catchups for the two part story that is now episodes 7 and 8 (City of the Damned Part 1 and 2). I plan to film both episodes together and just cut them pretty much in half when I am finished. More news later on in the week.
